Multiple Channel

Through unique patented technology a cost effective solution is offered to replace conventional electromechanical switches. ProxSenseTM is capable of detecting a differentiated touch or proximity condition through almost any dielectric, allowing designers to project touch pads or sliders through a variety of materials. A TOUCH pad can be realised with a simple copper pour on a PCB. 

ProxSenseTM offers a portfolio of multi-channel capacitive sensing ICs. The multi-channel ICs can operate standalone or can be interfaced with a micro controller unit (MCU). Multiple channel ICs can be used to realise keypads / products requiring multiple buttons, sliders and scroll-wheels. The devices also feature an internal system regulator, ensuring class leading proximity sensitivity and stability at an unparalleled cost.

 

IQS222 - I2CTM compatible Wheel/Slider and Key Controller with Proximity Detection

The IQS222 offers industry leading resolution (11bit) for a wheel or slider controller. The IQS222 is an 8 channel capacitive sensing device, 3 of which can be used for a wheel or slider type interface combined with 5 discrete keys. Interface to a master controller is through an I2CTM compatible interface.

IQS240 - 4 Touch Channel and Proximity Capacitive Sensor

The IQS240 has 4 physical contact channels. The IC features direct, coded and SPI output modes, 4 Power modes, high power noise immunity, buzzer output, a variety of touch and proximity sensitivity settings and many more.

IQS221 - 9 Touch Channel and Proximity Capacitive Sensor

The IQS221 has the same features as the IQS240 with an additional 5 channels adding up to 9 physical contact channels. The IC also features direct, coded and SPI output modes, 4 Power modes, high power noise immunity, buzzer output, a variety of touch and proximity sensitivity settings and an active drive  n shield, which enables the designer to place a pr oximity sensing channel remotely from the electornics.
